iCAUR V23 scheduled for Malaysian launch on 27 November 2025

A few hours ago, iCAUR Malaysia announced that its all-new iCAUR V23 EV off-road SUV will make a grand debut on 27 November 2025, 11 AM. Manufactured for drivers who love classic off-road aesthetics, the EV has vintage-inspired off-road styling, featuring a boxy silhouette, exposed hinges, and an old-school 4×4 attitude paired with modern EV technology.
Two Powertrain Options: 2WD and Intelligent AWD
A quick visit to the website reveals that the V23 will be offered in two configurations. The 2WD model uses a single motor producing 136 PS and 180 Nm, while the Intelligent AWD version adds a second motor for a combined output of 211 PS and 292 Nm. This dual-motor setup gives the iWD variant a stronger push and better control on challenging terrain.

Performance and Specifications
There are two battery choices depending on the variant, and the same goes for the performance. The 2WD model is equipped with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery capable of delivering up to 401 km of range (NEDC), and it can also accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in around 11 seconds, while the dual-motor AWD accomplishes it in about 7.5 seconds.
On the other hand, the AWD variant uses a larger 81.8 kWh NMC battery that extends the driving range up to 501 km on the same cycle, while the dual-motor accomplishes it in about 7.5 seconds. Both variants have an electronically limited top speed of 140 km/h.

Charging speeds are respectable for this segment, with DC fast charging rated at 85 kW for the 2WD and 104 kW for the AWD. AC charging supports up to 6.6 kW. The V23 also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) support up to 3.3 kW, allowing users to power appliances, tools, or outdoor equipment.
Design and Interior
In terms of size, the V23 measures 4220 mm long, 1915 mm wide, and 1845 mm tall, with a 2735 mm wheelbase. The cabin blends retro-styled chrome controls with modern features such as a 15.4-inch touchscreen paired with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Its interior layout balances practicality and comfort, making it suitable for both city cruising and off-road trips.

Built with a reinforced chassis engineered to absorb and dissipate impact forces, the V23 provides solid protection across various driving conditions. It uses MacPherson front suspension and a multi-link rear setup, giving it a combination of stability, comfort, and ruggedness that supports its off-road image.
Malaysian Launch and Pricing
The iCAUR V23 has already been previewed in its right-hand-drive form in Malaysia, with an official launch expected in Q4 2025. Pricing is estimated to start around RM145000 for the 2WD model and RM155000 for the AWD variant, making it one of the more competitively priced electric off-roaders in the market.
For the uninitiated, iCAUR is an EV brand from the Chery Group in China. It is called the iCAR in China, but is marketed as iCAUR in international markets like Malaysia (so that it avoids trademark issues). We are less than a week away from the launch, so until then, stay tuned for the official news announcement only at TechNave.com.
