MyGOV Malaysia super app records 113000 downloads – 16 new services coming soon

The MyGOV Malaysia super app, which launched its beta on 16 August 2025, has passed 113000 downloads and is set to integrate 16 more government services, Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo announced. So, what should you know about it?
MyGOV Malaysia expands its service coverage
In Parliament, Gobind detailed that the MyGOV app, a unified digital gateway for Malaysian government services, currently offers 36 services across 13 agencies. These include the Road Transport Department (JPJ), Immigration, the National Registration Department, MySejahtera, and social welfare.
Additionally, the next phase will bring in 16 additional services. The new services will allow you to:
- Renew their driving licences.
- Renew road tax
- Pay traffic summons for both JPJ and the Royal Malaysia Police.e
- Pay utility bills
- Make zakat payments
- Settle taxes and summons with local authorities.
- Apply for MyKad replacement via the National Registration Department.
- Check unclaimed money through the eGUMIS system.m
- Access the Ministry of Finance Manfaat portal
- Privacy and Security Assurance
Gobind emphasised that MyGOV does not store users’ personal data. Instead, it operates via APIs, so all data remains within each government agency system. The app uses MyDigital ID for secure identity verification.
Each service added to the app undergoes checks, including security testing, risk assessments, data protection reviews, and system audits. Continuous monitoring is conducted in accordance with national laws, including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the Cybersecurity Act 2024.
Development and rollout
The beta version of the app soft-launched on 16 August 2025. The app is being developed in phases by the National Digital Department. Gobind also noted that MyGOV has held Citizen Lab sessions to collect user feedback on its usability and design.
If you have been waiting for a one-stop app to access government services on your phone, MyGOV Malaysia is stepping up with more features and a strong privacy model. Will you give it a try when the new services go live? Let us know in the comments.
