PCs with the Snapdragon X chipset get an update to improve gaming support

Looks like Microsoft users are in for a pleasant surprise. Today, several updates are being provided by Windows and Qualcomm to make Windows on Arm a better platform for gaming. So, what should you know about it?

 

An optimal setting for an optimal run

For your information, the new Snapdragon Control Panel software will automatically detect games on PCs with Snapdragon X series chips. It then performs the optimal settings for the game so that it runs smoothly.

Additionally, Adreno GPU driver software updates can also be performed to support the latest games. Qualcomm says it has improved support for over 100 video games since the Snapdragon X devices were launched earlier this year.

Moreover, Microsoft’s Prism mocking software now also supports x86 Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX), which are required by video games and applications that are not native to ARM chips.

Furthermore, the Xbox app now allows games that support ARM64 to be downloaded to Windows on ARM devices. Previously, it only supported Xbox game streaming.
