A new player in the drone space has officially arrived in Malaysia. Antigravity, a brand founded by drone enthusiasts and engineers with backing from Insta360, launched the Antigravity A1 drone today. The A1 introduces what the company calls a “360 Drone”, designed to redefine aerial storytelling with immersive flight controls and full 360-degree video capture.

Since its debut, the Antigravity A1 drone has received multiple global recognitions. These include the Red Dot Design Award 2025, TIME Best Inventions 2025, Good Design Award 2025, and the CES Innovation Awards 2026 Best of Innovation title. The drone also earned over 20 media awards during IFA 2025.

A New Kind of Drone Experience

Unlike traditional quadcopters, the Antigravity A1 drone is built around a headset-first experience. The system combines three key components, including Vision Goggles, a Grip controller and the drone itself. The Vision Goggles feature pancake optics and dual 1-inch Micro-OLED displays with 2560 × 2560 resolution, allowing pilots to see from the drone’s perspective in real time.

With the Grip controller’s FreeMotion Mode, users can steer the drone simply by pointing, enabling a “point-to-fly” experience that removes the complexity of traditional dual-stick controls. For experienced users, a full FPV mode remains available for more precise manual control.

8K 360 Video Capture With Flexible Editing

At its core, the Antigravity A1 drone is designed for content creation. It features a dual-lens 1/1.28-inch sensor system capable of recording 8K at 30fps, 5.2K at 60fps and 4K at 100fps in full 360 degrees. This allows creators to capture everything in a single take and decide on framing later during editing. The workflow supports a “fly first, frame later” approach, enabling effects such as cinematic pans, Tiny Planet shots and subject tracking. FlowState Stabilization ensures smooth footage even in challenging conditions.

Compact Design With Travel-Friendly Features

Weighing just 249g, the Antigravity A1 drone meets sub-250g regulatory requirements in many regions, making it easier to travel with. The drone offers up to 24 minutes of flight time, extendable to 39 minutes with an optional battery. A retractable landing gear system protects the bottom lens while maintaining unobstructed views for clean aerial shots.

Sky Path and Smart Flight Tools

The A1 introduces a feature called Sky Path, which allows users to design and automate flight routes. Once configured, the drone can fly autonomously, enabling creators to focus on storytelling or share the immersive experience with others.

Additional intelligent features include Sky Genie, which enables automated cinematic manoeuvres such as orbit and spiral shots, and Deep Track, which locks onto subjects with precision using technology derived from Insta360. The drone also includes a Virtual Cockpit mode with creative overlays and a built-in Flight Simulator, allowing users to practice flying in a virtual environment before taking off in real life.

The A1 works seamlessly with the Antigravity mobile app and Antigravity Studio desktop software. These tools support quick file transfers, automatic reframing, colour correction and AI-powered editing, allowing creators to produce ready-to-share videos with minimal effort. The system also includes automatic highlight detection to simplify post-production.

Designed for Safety and Sustainability

Antigravity has also focused on durability and responsible usage. The Antigravity A1 drone features user-replaceable lenses and propellers, reducing maintenance costs and material waste. A payload detection system prevents unsafe modifications by identifying excess weight or unintended usage. For added protection, Antigravity Care offers coverage options including replacement and flyaway protection.

Pricing, Bundles and Launch Promotion

The Antigravity A1 drone is now available in Malaysia, starting 17 March 2026, in three bundle options. The Standard Bundle is priced at RM6099, the Explorer Bundle at RM6999 and the Infinity Bundle at RM7499. Each bundle includes the drone, Vision Goggles and Grip controller, along with different accessories and battery options.

To celebrate the launch, customers can enjoy a 20% discount on all bundles from 17 March to 16 April 2026, available through official stores, Shopee, Lazada and authorised retailers nationwide. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
