Here's the first preview of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s front design ahead of launch

With the Xiaomi 17 Ultra just days away from its official debut on 25 December 2025, Xiaomi has offered fans a sneak peek at the phone’s front-facing design through a new hands-on teaser video shared by company president Lu Weibing. This marks the first time the flagship’s front profile has been shown online.

 

First Look at the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Design

In the short clip, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra appears noticeably thin, measuring approximately 29mm in thickness. The display is highlighted by slim, fairly even bezels on all sides and a flat panel with rounded corners, which is a departure from more dramatic curved screens, giving the front a clean, modern look.

The hands-on footage also revealed a surprise fourth colour option that hadn’t been shown in earlier teasers. Alongside the expected finishes, a violet or purple tone makes its first appearance. The clip also gives a better real-world look at the previously teased Starry Green finish with its shimmering texture that shifts under different lighting, as well as more understated traditional colours.

 

The Launch Tomorrow

This preview helps complete the picture of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra’s design just ahead of its launch event in China.
