Huawei Mate 80 Series China release – up to Kirin 9030 Pro and 6.9-inch OLED, starting price at ~RM2.7K

Besides the Mate X7 foldable phone, Huawei has officially launched its new flagship trio — the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro and Mate 80 Pro Max — featuring upgraded Kirin processors, improved XMAGE imaging, LTPO OLED displays and larger batteries. Here’s a full breakdown of each model.
Huawei Mate 80
Starting with the Mate 80, it features a 6.75-inch OLED panel with a 1–120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and an FHD+ resolution of 2832 × 1280. The screen is protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass for improved durability.
Powering the device is the Kirin 9020 processor, running on HarmonyOS 6.0, but storage expansion is not supported. On the back, the rear camera system includes a 50MP Ultra Lighting main camera with an adjustable F1.4–F4.0 aperture and OIS, accompanied by a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP periscope telephoto lens supporting up to 5.5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. The front setup consists of a 13MP ultra-wide camera paired with a 3D depth sensor.

The Mate 80 is equipped with a 5750mAh battery, and it supports 66W wired SuperCharge, 50W wireless SuperCharge and both wired and wireless reverse charging.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro
Next, the Mate 80 Pro retains the same display features. However, it has a slightly different chipset depending on the RAM variant. The phone uses either the Kirin 9030 Pro (for the 16GB model) or the Kirin 9030 (for the 12GB model). It also runs HarmonyOS 6.0.

The phone features the same front selfie snapper, primary and ultrawide rear cameras, but comes with a better 48MP macro telephoto lens with OIS and a second-generation Red Maple sensor. It supports 4x optical zoom, 8x optical-quality zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Inside is a 5750mAh battery with support for 100W wired SuperCharge, 80W wireless SuperCharge and reverse charging on both wired and wireless modes.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max
Last but not least, the Mate 80 Pro Max features a larger 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED display with LTPO support and an FHD+ resolution of 2848 × 1320. The panel is also protected by second-generation Kunlun Glass.
The device runs on the Kirin 9030 Pro processor and HarmonyOS 6.0, and it stands out with a quad-camera system consisting of a 50MP Ultra HDR main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide shooter, a 50MP macro telephoto camera and a 50MP long-range telephoto lens, all equipped with OIS and RYYB sensors. Zoom performance includes 4x and 6.2x optical zoom, 12.4x optical-quality zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.

The front camera remains the same. Lastly, the Mate 80 Pro Max houses a 6000mAh battery along with 100W wired SuperCharge, 80W wireless SuperCharge and both wired and wireless reverse charging.
