The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has denied a viral message claiming that Health Clinics are not accepting patients without an appointment in its latest statement. So, what should you know about it?
It is a hoax because MOH still follows the same procedures
For your information, the MOH stressed that the claim is untrue and only creates doubts among the public. On the contrary, Health Clinics are still accepting patients without an appointment as usual, according to the established procedures.
Although the appointment system is the primary method, space is still provided for patients without an appointment, especially for emergency cases, senior citizens, and those with technology access constraints.
Moreover, patients without an appointment will still be served; however, they will need to go through an assessment process first. Meanwhile, patients with an appointment will be given priority according to the designated time slot.
MOH understands that the level of access to technology varies for each individual. Therefore, walk-in services will continue to ensure that every segment of society receives a fair and equitable treatment experience.
