It’s official, POCO has posted a teaser about its next-generation F-series. The POCO F8 Series is set to be unveiled globally on 26 November 2025 in Bali, Indonesia. Here’s everything you need to know about the phone.

What’s in the Series?

The F8 lineup is expected to include three models: the POCO F8, F8 Pro and F8 Ultra. However, the 26 November event is likely to launch only the Pro and Ultra variants. Plus, the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra are believed to be rebrands (with tweaks) of the Redmi K90 and K90 Pro Max respectively, sharing design and internals while packing slightly smaller batteries.

Key Specs (Expected)

Should that be true, then the POCO F8 may sport a 6.59-inch OLED display, while the F8 Ultra could feature a larger 6.9-inch OLED panel. Both are tipped to deliver 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The F8 variant is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and the Ultra by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

On the camera front, the Pro is rumoured to house a 50MP main lens with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom. The Ultra model may go further with three 50MP sensors (primary, ultra-wide, periscope telephoto) and include an extra rear speaker for enhanced audio. Charging is expected to support 100 W wired for both models and 50 W wireless charging on the Ultra.

What This Means for Buyers

POCO’s F8 series launch signals the brand’s aggressive push in the flagship space, offering high-end specs under its value-centric positioning. For tech-savvy buyers in Malaysia (and globally), the event will be one to watch—especially given the Pro and Ultra models’ promising spec sheet and the strong “rebrand+enhance” strategy of leveraging Redmi’s hardware.

Final Thoughts

If POCO delivers on the rumoured specs and global availability, the F8 lineup could shake up the high-performance smartphone category—particularly in markets like Malaysia, where value and performance carry equal weight.
