TSMC has filed a lawsuit against the company’s former Senior Vice President Wei-Jen Lo, who recently moved to Intel. So, what should you know about it?

There is a high probability that the document was leaked

For your information, the lawsuit was filed through Taiwan’s Intellectual and Commercial Property Court because TSMC said it was based on the terms of the employment contract between TSMC and Lo, a non-compete agreement signed by Lo and in accordance with the Trade Secrets Act.

Moreover, TSMC added that there is a high probability that Lo used, leaked and disclosed various industrial secrets of the company to Intel. While at TSMC, Lo was involved in the development of 5nm, 3nm, and, damn, 2nm technology. He moved to Intel in October after 21 years at TSMC, but before that, he worked at Intel for 18 years.

After the lawsuit was filed, Intel and Lo have yet to issue any official statements. Due to TSMC’s status as the world’s number one fabrication company, various efforts have been made by competitors to recruit its employees.
