Today, Google announced that sending files between Android devices and iPhones can now be done using the QuickShare and AirDrop protocols. So, what should you know about it?

It’s only available for the Google Pixel 10 series for now

For your information, the QuickShare system is used. iPhone devices will appear in the list of devices that can receive transfers, and in AirDrop, Android devices will also be visible. However, this feature is only supported on Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold devices.

Moreover, the support will be expanded to other Android devices in the future. So far, supporting cross-operating system file transfers has only been possible through third-party applications such as LocalSend.

Furthermore, the QuickShare and AirDrop protocols is more secure because they are built into Android devices and iPhones and are supported directly at the system level.
